This is a modern detached cottage built in the traditional style, but don't be deceived into thinking that modern materials and its relatively recent creation detracts in any way from its charm. - Quite simply - it doesn't!
It has been decorated and fitted out with great care using masses of pine, warm romantic colours and comfortable, tasteful furnishings.
It is situated
on a quiet country road, just outside of Bunbeg on the North West coast of Donegal. It benefits in weather from the Gulf Stream. Yes, sometimes there is plenty of rain, but believe it - you can be picnicing on the beach in November!
It
enjoys a fine westerly outlook over Inishfree Bay and the numerous nearby islands that surround the intriguing and beautifully varied coastline. On this there are many fine sandy, deserted beaches within easy reach and stretching as far as the eye can see.
Briefly, the inside of the cottage is furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard with a large kitchen/dining room. You can easily seat 8 at the dining table for fantastic evenings of wine and song!
Off the kitchen, there's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
And just imagine relaxing in the comfortable sitting room, watching the flames dance in the solid fuel stove, burning the local peat with it's unmistakeable smell! Glance out through the large picture windows and watch the mood changes of Errigal mountain. Candles, wine and some music add the finishing touches to an idyllic setting.
The cottage also has a
downstairs bathroom with W.C. as well as an upstairs shower with W.C. It boasts four bedrooms - two doubles and two with two single beds apiece.
As you would expect, the cottage is well equipped with Colour television/video, (should you really need it!) DVD, CD, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. Oil fired central heating. Duvets. High chair. Linen and towels are included in the rental although Oil, Electricity and turf (for burning on the fire) are extra.
Everything you need is there, including a corkscrew and the all important - back up corkscrew!
